0151/2024 - Apoio social percebido por gestantes e fatores associados: estudo transversal em coorte de base populacional Social support perceived by pregnant women and associated factors: cross-sectional study in a population-based cohort
Estimou-se o apoio social pela Social Support Survey of the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS-SSS) associando-o a variáveis sociodemográficas, comportamentais, obstétricas e a funcionalidade familiar (Apgar Familiar).

Abstract:
Objective: to measure the social support perceived by pregnant women and identify factors associated with this perception. Method: epidemiological, cross-sectional and analytical study carried out with 1279 pregnant women registered in Family Health Strategies in Minas Gerais – Brazil,2018 to 2019. Social support was estimated using the Social Support Survey of the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS-SSS) associating it with sociodemographic, behavioral, obstetric variables and family functionality (Family Apgar). Descriptive, bivariate analysis followed by Poisson Regression with robust variance. Results: general average of social support of 79.0 and 50.7% of pregnant women reported low support, associated with: age group: 20 to 35 years PR: 1.23 [CI: 1.01-1.49]; have two or more children PR: 1.20 [CI: 1.03-1.40]; perform up to three prenatal consultations PR: 1.17 [CI: 1.01-1.36] and belong to a dysfunctional family PR: 1.90 [CI: 1.72-2.10]. The informational domain showed greater strength of association for low perception of support. Conclusion: there was a low perception of social support among pregnant women, which was associated with social, obstetric, behavioral and family characteristics. It is recommended to investigate social support in prenatal care, recognizing it as one of the pillars for comprehensive care for women\'s health.
