Abstract:

It is a systematic review on the production of the health field on sexting between 2009 and 2019. The scientific production was analyzed in relation to its context (gender of the first author, year of publication and country of realization), type of publication, area of knowledge, themes and subjects focused and the conception they present about sexting. During the second semester of 2019, the 147 publications available on Pubmed, which had sexting as a central theme, were analyzed. The search was made by the term sexting. A descriptive statistical analysis was carried out, which involved an interpretive nature in order to assess the approach to risk, violence and gender in these publications. Most publications have women as the first authors, were produced in the United States between 2017 and 2019 and carried out a quantitative approach (approximately 65%). Almost half of the productions had as a central theme the prevalence of sexting or risky behavior among adolescents. The vast majority also attributed risky behavior to sexting in some way, which violence can be inferred (70%). A little part of publications presented a gender approach (less than 15%). By not distinguishing healthyviolent practices, the productions in the health field have performed insufficient analysis of sexting.
