Abstract:

This is qualitative research conducted with users of SUS pregnant and private services identify objectives that the perception of these women on the role of health professionals in relation to dental care during pregnancy, whose data were collected through interviews recorded, semi per-structured roadmap of issues and analyzed by analysis of thematic content. It concluded that some health professionals, feed and deliver myths and fears about dental care and oral health related to the gestational period. It showed the importance of the investments in education on dental and pregnancy, both in level of graduate or post-graduate, because such knowledge can contribute to the review of concepts, and hence on the pipes obvious that the front portion of the population.
