Abstract:

Here we reflect about black women’s Health as part of a narrative produced by the exercise of colonial power, and the forces that act towards the definition and imposition of the place of subaltern, since it is informed by the objectified and racialized notion of the body. Black women are substantially represented as sufferingthe worst health indicators. We propose to look at public healththe perspective of care as a technology,- political, social and intersubjective, in whose encounters with the aesthetic-political body of black women is crossed by unique experiences of exclusion. Moving beyond suffering, we also address agency and resistance, as well as the construction of an agenda of struggle based on the protagonism of black women and men.
