Abstract:

The study aims to evaluate factors related to family dysfunction (FD) among 227 nonagenarians and centenarians, identified and evaluated at their home randomly ed in Porto Alegre - RS. FD was evaluated by the \"Family APGAR\", being considered0 to 6 with FD and7 to 10, without FD. Sociodemographic, economic data, physical functionality, health self-perception, comorbidities, depressive symptoms, cognitive function, support and social interaction were evaluated. The mean APGAR was 9.05±1.81, the FD occurred in 9.69% of the participants.
