Abstract:

The reform of primary health care in the city of Rio de Janeiro has generated different needs to improve the network, one of them, the qualification of the professionals who are going to work in the APS. In this context appears the Trainning Program of Family and Community Medicine of the Municipal Health Secretary of Rio de Janeiro. This article aims to describe the experience of implementing this program in the context of the reform of Primary Health Care and demonstrates too the structure of the program to achieve the objectives proposed by the reform and how this is reflected in the Primary Health Care network. It´s also suggests investing in researchs that may signal the impacts generated by the Program.
