Abstract:

Introduction: Violence is increasing world wild mainly among the most socially vulnerable groups such as women, elderly people, children and adolescents. In addition to justice sector, many other areas and workers are involved and becoming even more important for addressing violence, such as health sector. Objective: Identify the educative potential of institutional videos about facing child domestic violence from the perspective of the categories generation and gender. Methods: A search was conducted between 2013 and 2014 on official sites of the institutions those deal with child-related topics. We used the webQDA software for analysis. Results: We collected 40 videos campaigns, of which ten were analyzed qualitatively. Scenes and scenes fragments revealed contents of intergenerational violence, intra-generational, inter-gender and intra gender and consequences of child abuse. Conclusion: Videos proved material with potential for critical reflection on the processes of education and training with a focus on confronting violence against children and the perspectives of gender and generation.
