Abstract:

The objective of this study was to analyze studies which evaluated the effectiveness of the services of Primary Health Care (PHC) by using to Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool) according to worldwide user perspective. Study of systematic review, according to the model Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA),the follow basis: LILACS, MedLine, SciElo, PubMed and Capes Journals Portal. The used descriptors were: Primary Care Assessment Tool and PCATool. Considering to inclusion and exclusion criteria, 22 completed research papers published between 2007 to 2015 were analyzed. The better evaluated attributes were cultural competence, first contact utilization and ongoing care; while the worst evaluated were first contact accessibility, family centeredness, community orientation and comprehensiveness. Most of the health services evaluated wereBrazil, applied to Basic Unity of Health and Health Family Strategy; the services evaluated require strengthening on structure and process to a better performance in PHC.
