Abstract:

This is a book review about “Postura em Crianças: Fundamentação Teórica e Prática”, released in 2019 by EDUSP Publisher and organizedby Sílvia Maria Amado João e Patrícia Jundi Penha. They are physical therapists, professors, and researchers. Initially, it is highlighted the main book contribution, providing a “guide” of practical solutions based on specific scientific production. Points its differential, focusing on children and school children population, scarce theme among Brazilian books about body posture. The article correlates the potential use of book with the perspective of school health promotion, when it is used by health professionals that work with childrendifferent levels of health care and health attention. Finally, this book is recommended to students and health professionalsdifferent areas that are interested in body posture theme. It provides to reader a panorama about body posture concepts and its relationships, providing tools to the reader to perform postural assessment on different contexts and levels of health care.
