Abstract:

The origin of the politics (public) social related to food and nutrition in Brazil has a course discontinous and neglected by the Brazilian State throughout its history. This article has as objective to rescue this process and to identify, elements that make it difficult the REPLACEion of the food and nutrition question in the agenda Brazilian politics. Thus, it makes a briefing about politics and social programs formulated since the decade of 40 with objective to solve the problem of hunger in Brazil and identifying the changes of the epidemiological and nutritional transition of the Brazilian population. It is necessary to advance in the agreement of that the biological manifestations of the hunger: malnutrition or obesity (bad nutrition) is reflected of a model of social development that privileges the capital in detriment of the welfare state. Its reflects also at the alimentary and nutritional context, therefore the submission of the society to the order of the capital produces consequences in the ways to eat, to live, to sick and to die of the populations.
