Abstract:

The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of psychotropic drugs use in the adults and the elderly and the associated factors, therapeutic classes and sources of acquisition. Datathe National Survey on Access, Use and Promotion of Rational Use of Medicines in Brazil (PNAUM / 2013-2014) were analyzed. The prevalence of use of at least one psychotropic drug by the adults was 8.7%.
