Atualmente, há mais de 53 mil equipes de Saúde da Família, sendo responsáveis pela efetivação da Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) no Brasil, desenvolvendo ações articuladas de promoção, prevenção, tratamento, recuperação e reabilitação da saúde, com abordagem centrada na família e comunidade, no território e na integralidade do cuidado. O momento de retomada da Saúde da Família enquanto estratégia prioritária do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), é efetivado pela Portaria GM/MS nº3.493/2024, que institui a nova metodologia de cofinanciamento federal, representando um marco no seu redesenho. Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir sobre a retomada da Saúde da Família como estratégia central para reconstrução da APS. Entre os principais avanços, destaca-se o aumento do financiamento, com redução do número de pessoas por equipe, o estímulo à expansão da cobertura das equipes, a reativação do Programa Mais Médicos e das equipes multiprofissional, e ainda expansão das demais estratégias quanto ao acesso, principalmente para populações vulnerabilizadas, como as equipes de Saúde da Família Ribeirinha, Prisional, e o Consultório na Rua. Evidenciando que somente com uma APS fortalecida é possível vislumbrar novos marcos dessa grande política civilizatória que é o SUS.

Abstract:
Currently, there are more than 53,000 Family Health teams responsible for implementing Primary Health Care in Brazil, developing coordinated actions for health promotion, prevention, treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation, with an approach centered on the family and community, the territory, and comprehensive care. The moment of reestablishment of Family Health as a priority strategy of the Unified Health System (SUS) was enacted by Ordinance GM/MS No. 3,493/2024, which establishes the new federal co-financing methodology and represents a milestone in its redesign. This article aims to discuss the resumption of Family Health as a central strategy for rebuilding PHC. Among the main advances are increased funding, with a reduction in the number of people per team, the encouragement of expanded team coverage, the reactivation of the Mais Médicos Program and multidisciplinary teams, and the expansion of other access strategies, especially for vulnerable populations, such as the Riverside Family Health, Prison, and Street Clinic teams. This highlights that only with a strengthened PHC system can new milestones be envisioned in this great civilizing policy that is the Unified Health System (SUS).
