0210/2024 - EMBARAÇOS ENTRE VIVER E CUIDAR NO ADOLESCER COM DIABETES MELLITUS TIPO1: UM ENSAIO TEÓRICO EMBARRASSMENTS BETWEEN LIVING AND CARE IN ADOLESCENTS WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS: A THEORETICAL ESSAY
Neste ensaio teórico buscamos problematizar os polos de oposição “viver X cuidar” na experiência de atenção aos adolescentes com diabetes mellitus tipo 1. É na experiência da cronicidade como categoria crítica das ciências sociais e humanas em saúde coletiva que localizamos nossas lentes. Com base na perspectiva de embaraço de Erving Gofffman e de lógicas de cuidado com Annemarie Mol, revisitamos produções qualitativas de artigos publicados de 2001 a 2021 em três bases de dados. Triangulamos a experiência com pesquisas no campo da cronicidade, com a revisão bibliográfica e os autores que teoricamente acionamos. Nosso argumento é que o DM1 deve ser localizado como experiência de adoecimento, no âmbito da cronicidade do “viver com”, das gramáticas do cuidado, do manejo dos estigmas, dos vocabulários e gerenciamento de tecnologias para monitorar sintomas e recorrer às redes possíveis. O objetivo do ensaio é problematizar os polos viver X cuidar, vinculando este propósito à nossa reflexão teórica. O cuidado de um adolescente não pode prescindir da discussão política, uma vez que as assimetrias e desigualdades dialogam com a localização social dos sujeitos e com estruturas adultocêntricas produtoras de barreiras ao cuidado.

Abstract:
In this theoretical essay we seek to problematize the poles of opposition “living vs. caring” in the experience of care for adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus. It is in the experience of chronicity as a critical category of social and human sciences in collective health that we locate our lenses. Based on Erving \'s Embarrassment Perspective Gofffman and logics of care with Annemarie Mol, we revisit qualitative productions of articles published2001 to 2021 in three databases. We triangulate the experience with research in the field of chronicity, with the bibliographic review and the authors that we theoretically use. Our argument is that DM1 must be located as an illness experience, within the scope of the chronicity of “living with”, the grammars of care, the management of stigmas, the vocabularies and management of technologies to monitor symptoms and resort to possible networks. The objective of the essay is to problematize the poles of living x caring, linking this purpose to our theoretical reflection. Caring for an adolescent cannot do without political discussion, since asymmetries and inequalities dialogue with the social location of the subjects and with adult-centric structures that produce barriers to care.
