A Política Nacional de Atenção à Saúde dos Povos Indígenas (PNASPI) enfrenta um enorme desafio na operacionalização referente à formação de profissionais da saúde para a atuação em contexto intercultural. Neste artigo, dialogamos com a proposta do Encontro de Saberes (ES) como uma estratégia de ensino-aprendizagem capaz de promover uma formação intercultural crítica. Buscamos refletir os impactos que a presença do ES no campo da saúde pode ter para a transformação do ambiente universitário e das práticas de atenção à saúde indígena rumo a uma perspectiva enraizada, democrática, plural, pluriepistêmica e transdisciplinar.
The National Policy for the Care of Indigenous Peoples (NPCIP) faces an enormous challenge in operationalization regarding the training and qualification of health professionals for acting in an intercultural context. In this article, we open a dialogue with the proposal of Meeting of Knowledges (MK) as a teaching and learning strategy capable of promoting a critical intercultural education. We seek to reflect on the possible impact of MK in the health field for transforming the university environment, as well as healthcare for indigenous communities, towards an entrenched, democratic, pluriepistemic and transdisciplinary perspective.
