Abstract:

The article looks into the causes the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform in the last decade, after the approval of the Federal Law10.216/2001 and aims to provoke discussion about the pressing challenges facing the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform needs to feed or recycle the old utopia of "full citizenship for all in a society without asylums”. The Reform would be showing signs of exhaustion? It is undeniable the reorientation of care model for Mental Health in Brazil from the hospital to the community in the last decade. By taking the use of psychoactive substances as objects of policy and intervention, which incorporates the complex demands of the present Crack drama mediates only the need to question their history, their limits, their power. What will keep the flame of a successful movement that, surprisingly, resists the force of time and stigma in ten years of Law ? These and other questions need to be worked out. It‘s time to recycle the focus of assessment and analysis to identify which threatens its vitality. This is the challenge that writer and debaters will be caused to contribute.
