Abstract:

The study aimed to identify the academic tutoring fundamentals of the More Medical Doctors for Brazil Program (PMMB) in Santa Catarina, the analysis unit “values performed in the deliberations”. It is an exploratory and comprehensive study carried out in 2015 with tutorsSanta Catarina, i. e., professionals of decentralized referencethe Education and Health Ministry and professionals of technical referencethe Education Ministry. The semi-structured interview and focus group were the instruments utilized in order to collect the data. Based on the Emergency Provision category as an innovating force of the cultural operation named More Medical Doctors Program, the analysis followed the ethical and political method. Three fundamentals have arisen: to extinguish fires, qualification of the Project and procedural perspective. It was concluded that the academic tutoring of medical doctors´ productive activitiesthe emergency provision does not correspond to an isolated pedagogical confrontation because it is part of and consequence of the theory and practice historical development. Therefore, the activity corresponds, dialectically, to disruption, resistance, emancipation movements and does not refuse the collective reflection about the values that have been achieved upon deliberate actions. It does require an ethos.
