Abstract:

We aimed to analyze the accessibility and care trajectories for children with hospitalizations due to primary care sensitive conditions (HPCSC). This is a cross-sectional study of ed hospitalizations over a yearin a city in the north of Minas Gerais. The Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCA-Tool Brazil, child version) was used to evaluate accessibility and interviews with caregivers were carried out for a detailed definition of the family path to hospitalization. Among the 379 hospitalizations evaluated, 109 (28.9%) were classified as HPCSC.
