Abstract:

The study aimed to understand the perception and the exercise difficulties of the hospital monitoring in surgical inpatient units from a public hospital in the city of Niteroi, R.J., on the hospitalized users’ viewpoint of the and discuss them in light of the Institutional Analysis’s concepts (IA). Keep the emotional and social bond of the hospitalized individual is essential and is encouraged by public health politics. However, discussions are needed about how to take full advantage from this possibility. A descriptive research, qualitative approach, it was used the techniques of semi-structured interviews and field observations and the data were categorized by Content Analysis. We identified 03 thematic areas for discussion: the presence of nursing for service requests, noise in communication between the caregivers and nursing and caregivers comfort conditions. We conclude that the studies related to the presence of caregivers among hospitalized users become indispensable to inclusion of caregivers segments and nursing staff in the discussions and the creation of strategies to make this user‘s right a reality.
