Abstract:

It is discussed in this paper the question of our ion as a country, today, in consumer societies characteristics of modernity, focusing the growth of health area as a mercantile field, the segmentation of the health system and the contradictions of the health rights in this social context. Are presented some research data on these issues in the Jornal Nacional of Globo TV during the year of 2012, is analyzed the private high technological hospital as a consumer icon, the underfinancing of the health public system and the rejection of a Sistema Único de Saúde poor and deprived.
