Abstract:

Introduction: Dental Enamel Developmental Defects (DDE) present pores and / or irregularities that make them susceptible to biofilm accumulation and predisposition to caries and periodontal diseases. Aim: This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the prevalence of DDE and associated factors in children and adolescents living in the quilombola community. Methods: Population was census and comprised individuals in the age group of three to 14 years.
