Abstract:

The article presents reflections produced from a series of meetings with Community Health Workers, over ten years. Identifies the consolidation of two existential territories, wich sometimes approach and sometimes move apart between themselves: the territory of technical knowledge about health and the territory of popular knowledge about health. Starting from the analysis of some lines from those workers and reflections in dialogue with the theoretical reference in the area, the paper discusses some of the dilemmas and deadlocks of access and adherence from the perspective of some of these health workers, as well as the strategies devised daily from the meetings that take place between these two territories. It identifies the place of the Community Health Workers like a border agent of meetings, sometimes acting as an inventor of contact zones, and sometimes acting as a representative by one territory in the other one.
