0410/2018 - Conceptual perspectives in mental health and their implications in the context of peace building in Colombia. Perspectivas conceptuales en salud mental y sus implicaciones en el contexto de construcción de paz en Colombia.
This article presents a critical reflection on the conceptual perspectives in mental health, in search of new meanings for this concept and its implications in the context of the construction of peace in Colombia. For this, an integrative review of the literature was carried-out, through seven bibliographic databases and search engines. As a result, five conceptual perspectives of mental health were identified: 1) biomedical and behavioral, 2) of wellness and potentials, 3) cultural, 4) psychosocial and 5) based on social determination, whose epistemological foundations, contributions, critics, and limitations are described in each case. Finding more pertinence in the proposal of mental healthcollective health/social medicine rather thanthe classic public health for the construction of peace in Colombia, we propose a comprehensive view of mental health that takes into account its social-cultural relevancea critical and socio-historical position.

Abstract(resumo):
Este artigo apresenta uma reflexão critica sobre as perspectivas conceptuais em saúde mental, na procura de novos sentidos para este concepto e as suas implicações no contexto de construção de paz na Colômbia. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura em sete bases de dados bibliográficas e motores de busca. Como resultado, se identificaram cinco perspectivas conceptuais de saúde mental: 1) biomédica e conductual, 2) do bem-estar e as potencialidades, 3) cultural, 4) psicossocial e 5) da determinação social, os fundamentos epistemológicos, seus avanços, criticas e limitações se descrevem em cada caso. Ao achar maior pertinência na proposta da saúde mental desde a saúde coletiva/medicina social que desde a saúde publica clássica para a construção de paz na Colômbia, se propõe um olhar integral da saúde mental que leve em conta sua pertinência sociocultural, a partir de uma posição critica e sócio-histórica.
