Abstract:

This article presents the impacts of the pandemic on health systems and the repercussions on the working conditions and mental health of health professionals and invisible health workers in the context of COVID-19. It presents mortality among health professionals, highlighting the need for better working and safety conditions for health workers and, improvement in public management. It emphasizes WHO/PAHO recommendations, the need for equitable vaccination, including the poorest countries and the most vulnerable populations. It reports the impacts of the interruption of essential health services, such as chronic and infectious diseases, and the damage caused by the dissemination of false information through the social network, and recalls the need to disseminate correct and safe information in health.
