Abstract:

Health education with adolescents is characterized as a daily challenge. Serious games are strategic tools and their effectiveness is related to the pedagogical perspective adopted. Considering health education as a promoter of protagonism and autonomy, Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy constitutes a relevant theoretical and methodological reference. This article aims to analyze the contributions of serious game DECIDIX to educational actions subsidized by Paulo Freire\'s reference in the field of sexual and reproductive health education with adolescents. Datathe validation of DECIDIX research, carried out in two stages with adolescents and health and education professionals. Data were collected through recording the interventions; focus group; interview and observation (participant and non-participant) qualitatively coded and categorized. The DECIDIX and the analysis of its effectiveness was subsidized by the reference of Paulo Freire. DECIDIX is a tool that assists the educator in the development of educational actions based on the Freirean referential, intended for the construction of horizontal and dialogical relationships between educators and adolescents, that promote critical reflection and contribute to
experiences promoters of autonomy.
