Abstract:

This article aims to analyze the evolution of knowledge of Toxocara sp. in zoonotic aspect by scientific data between the years 1996-2015 using epistemology as a tool. The epistemological analysis of the evolution of knowledge on the zoonotic aspect of Toxocara sp. in Brazil showed that, in general, few new information were added which had, over the period studied, slow and discontinuous absorption, and were not incorporated in the social reality of the public health point of view.
