Abstract:

Objective: To analyze the implementation of a Program for the Promotion of Adequate and Healthy Food in Primary Health Care in municipalities of Minas Gerais. Methods: Mixed Methods Research with Concomitant Embedded Strategy Data. In the quantitative approach, evaluative research was used in the perspective of the implementation analysis. In the qualitative approach, an exploratory-descriptive study was carried out using content analysis. Qualitative and quantitative data were incorporated for analysistheir imbrication. Results: The Program Implementation Degree was 92.5%, representing an adequate implementation. In the imbrication of the data, the methodology of the actions proposed in the program and the carrying out of the activity of Permanent Education were convergent strong points that emerged. Insufficient human resources for planning and execution of the program and lack of kitchen for cooking workshop were identified as challenges. Conclusion: The implementation of the program was adequate and could be extended to other Brazilian municipalities, in order to support professionals to structure interventions to promote adequate and healthy food in the work routine in Primary Care.
