Methods: cross-sectional study of 1,035 postpartum women in public hospitals or affiliate in the UHS, in 2010. We performed a descriptive analysis of the main educational information and binomial logistic regression to test the association between individual and contextual variables and \"receiving educational activity through meetings and/or pregnant group in the health unit and/or through home visits\". Results: The information most received during prenatal was \"advantage of exclusive breastfeeding until six months of life\" (52.0%) and the least was \"the importance of fluoride use in health\" (18.9%). Received coverage to Family Health Strategy (OR = 1.94), adequate outside conditions of women\'s and children\'s housing (OR = 1.73) and increased one prenatal visit (OR = 1.08), increased the chance of conducting educational activity in prenatal care. Conclusions: A high number of pre-natal visit, coverage of health services according to the FHS, and adequate outside conditions of women\'s housing were factors that positively associated in educational activities during prenatal care.
