Abstract:

This article aims to present Family Health Strategy coverage according to the National Health Survey (PNS), comparing to administrative data and previous coverage of the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD 2008), and describe the frequencies of home visiting teams. It was compared dataNational Household Sample Survey (2008), National Health Survey (2013), and administrative datathe Department of Primary Care, concerning the proportion of people who live in households registered in family health unit for Brazil, Major Regions and Brazilian states, as well as indicators with home visits. There was an increase in population coverage by the Family Health Strategy in Brazil,50.9%, according to the National Household Sample Survey (2008) to 53.4% in National Health Survey (2013). The increase occurred in Brazil, Major Regions, urban and rural. Datathe NHS in 2013 were similar to the administrative data of the DAB in 2013, about 56% of registered households. People with less education have received more visits home monthly. The Family Health Strategy is an important promoter of health equity and its coverage increase is successful in the country.
