Abstract:

Abstract: This book review is based on \"O CORPO RECUSADO\" by Luiz Cecílio, a renowned Brazilian sanitarian. In this review, we highlight three issues raised by the author: the social construction of masculinity, the experience of living with HIV, and the process of aging. The book joins other biographies on the response to HIV with a generous contribution to social closets\' experience.
