Abstract:

The objective of this research was to analyze how does the practice of health education in the informal user-worker relationship in reality experienced by the Family Health Team (SF), and the strategies used for its implementation in routine primary care. It is a qualitative study conducted with two Family Health teams and the data collected through observation and semi-structured interviews and analyzed using discourse analysis. Health education held at the informality of professional-user occurs in everyday conversations and guidelines, and permeate the various issues involving the needs presented by users. Workers present educational strategies that occur in everyday life in a non-structured, some portray a different way to accomplish the educational practice, but most of these concerns the transfer of information, in which the employee seeks to transfer / information reinforcing its attitude imposition of a control and know what he thinks is right. It is necessary to be rethought and enhanced health education as a technology of work, which reveals different processes act on health, reorienting the practice in a meaningful learning, and promotes change for users, workers, and the model of current health care.
