Abstract:

Analyzes the incorporation of the actions health promotion in the working process of the Family Health Teams of one city of Santa Catarina. Research of qualitative approach articulated with methodological reference of Paulo Freire, consisting of three dialectical moments: Thematic Investigation; Encoding and decoding; Critical unveiling. It was performed fifteen Culture Circles, covering five district health units, with the participation of 70 professionals. Each meeting included two hours and average frequency of thirteen participants of the Family Health. The research unveiled that there are limitations to the incorporation of health promotion as a key element of participatory practice with the community. This research pointed the importance of interdisciplinarity and intersectionality articulated between workers and manager local, state and. The commitment to the principles of the Unified Health Care System - SUS and health promotion presents itself also as a challenge to improve the quality of life of the population.
