Abstract:

Objective: point the COVID-19 pandemic impact on minors domestic sexual abuse, in Brazil. Method: ecologic study applying Joinpoint regression based on Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (Information System of Frequent Notification),2009 to 2021. The relative frequency of domestic child sexual abuse cases covering the population0 to 19 years old and crude incidence rates of the condition were analyzed, being estimated the annual percentual change (APC) and the average percentual change (AAPC), using a 95% confidence interval. A comparison was effective to show the differences between genders and ages. Results: the VSR relative frequency showed the highest results in 2020 (69,8%) and 2021 (71,7%) increasing 3,1% (p=0,001)2017 to 2021. Girls were affected the most2009 to 2012 (APC= 44,4; p=0,010) and 2015 to 2019 (APC= 16,6; p=0,017), although, a decrease on the numbers was visible2019 to 2021 (APC= -17,7; p=0,042). All the ages bring up a significant increase until 2019 and a decrease past 2019 for ages between 5-9 (APC=18,6; p=0,016), 10-14 (APC =-14,1; p=0,040) and 15-19 (APC=-18,4; p=0,021). Conclusion: The incidence of sexual abuse against the young population numbers expended 2019, showing lower percentage2020 until nowadays, according to the cases notifications. The quarentene may have affected the facility to send complaints to the authorities.
