Abstract:

This article aims to arouse suspicions to the value attributed to medical truth present in the biomedical literature. It was taken as example the issue of protection of sexual practices and turned to the works of thinkers like Nietzsche, Baudrillard, Bourdieu and especially Michel Foucault in order to thinking that the elaboration and use of health information can be interpreted as pratices constituting a political that articulates dynamically experts and non-experts to the truth, constituting a morality that is based on the production and consumption this. A policy that foucault called biopolitics, able to establish ways of living where the exercise of thought does not seem to be as "rewarding", where practices of command and obedience to itself are mediated by health information. In this perspective, medical and non-medical it have been seduced by the desire to attain the truth, what is evidenced in the commitment of everyone in the production and use of statements that they believe can prolong life and save it from getting sick; speeches cultivated in a media society market, where the individual‘s control by information produces subjectivities that are anchored in the binomial: medical truth-capital.
