Abstract:

Established in 2019, the Previne Brasil Program (PPB), the current primary healthcare funding model of the Ministry of Health, consists of four payment criteria. The city of Campo Grande (MS) implemented the Laboratory of Primary Healthcare Innovation (LPHI) in search of strategies to enhance the performance of Family Health Units (FHU) and, consequently, increase financial allocation. The objective of this study was to comparatively assess the performance and the potential for resource expansion of LPHI-participating and non-participating FHU in relation to the PPB for the years 2021 and 2022.
