Abstract:

The aim of this article was to analyze results arisingthe implementation of the Integrated Health Care Territories (IHCT) project in a Brazilian capital. A quantitative, cross-sectional study based on secondary datathe e-Gestor AB, e-SUS, Citizen\'s Electronic Medical Record, Health Information System for Primary Care, and managerial reportsthe IHCT project, covering the period2020 to August 2023. The results suggest the potency of innovation strategies, such as those developed and implemented by the IHCT project, for strengthening Primary Health Care (PHC) through: professional training aligned with the characteristics and demands of the territories; increased PHC coverage, service provision/access, resolution; and financial impact in the face of the current model of PHC financing in Brazil. It was concluded that the innovations proposed by the IHCT project resulted in increased PHC coverage, health service provision, and care resolution. The innovations that contributed most in this regard were the training process of professionals at the residency level (radically oriented towards PHC attributes) and the incorporation of new practices not previously performed by PHC in the territory in question.
