Abstract:

Co-management is a management model and one of the guidelines of the National Humanization Policy (NHP), which has been studied since its creation. This article presents an integrative review of the national literature about Co-management in NHP context. The searches were carried out in BVS, CAPES, Scopus and ProQuest databases, including articles published after the date of NHP implementation and which was about co-management. Thirty-six articles were read and analysed in depth. As result, they were organized in two predefined categories: theoretical support and reports about co-management in practice. Regarding the theoretical suport, the publications about Co-management are based on the Wheel Method / Institutional Support, Ergology, Hermeneutic, Schizoanalysis, Haberman’s Communicative Action Theory and Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy, with few original contributions. Regarding the practice, the authors present the implantation of the Co-management devices, and the construction of different collective spaces, which have been considered participatory in themselves, with little reflection on the process of development of a culture of participation. Thus, we point out the need of studies that give visibility to the relational construction of co-management in everyday practice of health care teams.
