Abstract:

This is a qualitative based on the theoretical-methodological assumptions of the Analysis of Conversation (CA) that describes and analyzes face-to-face interactions between three nurses and seven users of primary health care services that occurred during consultations to the collect of cytopathological exam. The descriptions and the analyzes were based on excerptsthe audio-recorded interactions during the nursing consultations and transcribed based on the CA conventions. Microanalysis of the data, takenan emic perspective, allowed the identification of interactional situations of (de) alignment, (dis) affiliation, repairs and sensitive issues, as well as the lack of listening to specific topics by nurses in conducting consultations. Thus, signs of situations of suffering, malaise or violence were not explored, leaving no potentiate care. The study demonstrates that the consultation for collection of CP exam can be a space to listen to issues related to sexuality and investigate the presence of violence against women. The dissemination of these findings and of this methodology among public health and nursing professionals may stimulate their reflection on their communicative abilities, contributing to the improvement of the quality of care in health services.
