0169/2024 - Lesbian and bisexual students in medical training: narratives of a (per)course Estudantes lésbicas e bissexuais na formação médica: narrativas de um (per)curso
Facing a contemporaneity in which it is imperative to be happy, investigating experiences of suffering, with an ethical-political orientation, proves to be indispensable. The focus on gender and sexuality is justified among current conquests and upsurges related to feminism and the LGBT+ population. In this sense, analyzing the experiences of lesbian and bisexual students in medical training can be a strategy for observing the dynamics that affect their individualities in the university trajectory and in the production of health care. This narrative research aims to provide a space for listening, expression and recording of the narratives of lesbian and bisexual students enrolled in medical courses in Piauí. Eleven students were interviewed and their narratives were analyzed in the light of critical hermeneutics. The study revealed the erasure of lesbian and bisexual sexuality in medical training and the subjective and sociopolitical unfoldings of this, the urgency of the improvement of public health policies and the effects of cisheteronormativity on the expected profile for medical professionals.

Estudantes lésbicas e bissexuais na formação médica: narrativas de um (per)curso
Abstract(resumo):
Diante de uma contemporaneidade em que é imperativo ser feliz, investigar experiências de sofrimento, com orientação ético-política, mostra-se indispensável. O recorte de gênero e sexualidade justifica-se dentre conquistas e recrudescimentos atuais relacionados ao feminismo e à população LGBT+. Nesse sentido, analisar experiências de estudantes lésbicas e bissexuais na formação médica pode ser uma estratégia de observação das dinâmicas que afetam suas individualidades na trajetória universitária e na produção do cuidado em saúde. Esta pesquisa narrativa objetivou propiciar um espaço de escuta, expressão e registro das narrativas de estudantes lésbicas e bissexuais matriculadas em cursos médicos do Piauí. Foram entrevistadas 11 estudantes e suas narrativas analisadas à luz da hermenêutica crítica. O estudo revelou o apagamento da sexualidade lésbica e bissexual na formação médica e os desdobramentos subjetivos e sociopolíticos disto, a urgência do aprimoramento das políticas públicas de saúde e os efeitos da cisheteronormatividade no perfil esperado para profissionais médicas.
