In this paper we detach the subject a confinement as a central axle in the activity at maritime oil platforms of the Campos Basin, in region north of the Rio de Janeiro state. This work reality that determine for offshore workers, as they known a rupture between two different moments in there lives: the period of fourteen days in the sea and the life in land per twenty one days.We adopt as material empiricist, the inquiry that we lead on this universe, detaching here the way as these profissionals understand the conditions of confined work in which they are submitted.
