Abstract:

Objective: Analyze the use of spatial artificial intelligence in the context of immunization against COVID-19 for the proper ion of the necessary resources . Methods: A cross-sectional ecological study based on a space-time approach using secondary data. The units of analysis were the Brazilian`s primary care units. Four analytical steps were adopted to assign a population size per primary care units of the country applying artificial intelligence algorithms. In parallel, the conditions of access to mobile internet and the mapping of space-time trends of severe cases of COVID-19 were used to characterize each municipality in the country. Results: About 18% of the Brazilian elderly population is more than 4 km awaya vaccination point. In total, 4,790 municipalities showed an increase tendency regarding cases of SARS. The northern and northeastern regions presented the highest number of primary care units more than 5 km awaymobile phone networks. Conclusion: The national vaccination plan requires the use of innovative strategies to overcome the country\'s challenges. The use of methodologies based on spatial artificial intelligence can contribute to improve the response actions to tackle COVID-19.
