Obesity is one of the world major epidemics, being important public health problem and it is associated with an increase of chronic diseases. Risk factors associated with lifestyle and characteristics of reproductive life can be important factors to development of obesity in women. This prevalence is associated with increased adverse outcomes rates. Insufficient physical activity (PR=1.44; 95% CI 1.24-1.66), have had three or more pregnancies (PR=1.45; 95% CI 1.05-2.00), age higher than 50 years old (PR=1.34; 95%CI 1.00-1.82) and central obesity (PR=1.92; 95% CI 1.64-2.25) were associated with higher prevalence of obesity. Conclusion: There is a higher prevalence of overweight and obesity among women using Urgent Care Units, associated to characteristics of reproductive cycle, and potential modifiable lifestyle.
