Abstract:

The capitalist and cisheteropatriarchal system developed through the oppression and exploitation of class, race and sex in the establishment of unequal and hierarchical power relations, and one of these oppressions is the use of violence against bodies considered wandering and transgressors within this structure. Among the different types of violence, the focus of this study is on obstetric violence, understood as patriarchal gender violence which aims to take away the rights, autonomy and protagonism of these people during the gestation, childbirth, postpartum period and in abortion processes. This article intends to reflect on obstetric violence and its impacts in homoparentalities for lesbian women and trans men, understanding that LGBTQIA+ population is one of the most vulnerable and furthesthealth services, mainly because of the institutional violence it affects these bodies. In this way, we intend to understand, through a social and historical analysis, how these sexist and heteropatriarchal violations interlace and reflect on the health care of these people, generating even more forms of oppression against this population.
