Abstract:

Introduction: The effects of organizational justice on workers\' health have been investigated in several areas of work. However, the systematization of available information on the effects related to cardiovascular diseases and diabetes is scarce. Objective: To systematically review the association between organizational justice and cardiovascular and metabolic disease in adult workers. Method: The search strategy included the terms organizational justice, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, systemic arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. The databases investigated were MEDLINE, EMBASE and LILACS. Study quality was assessed using the instrument developed by the National Institute of Health. Results: 1.959 titles were identified. After evaluation, eight studies were ed. Individuals with a high perception of organizational justice had a lower risk of cardiovascular and metabolic disease. Conclusion: low organizational justice has repercussions for the cardiovascular and metabolic health of workers. The development of strategies to promote organizational justice must be prioritized and thus mitigate its impacts on workers and institutions.
