Abstract:

The present work glimpses a historical briefing of the plans of health in Brazil examining the interface between the public and the private one. It carries through, still, an analysis of the evolution and regulation of the suplemental health defining the assistenciais modalities of health, as well as, enunciates the main differences between the plans and health care and dentistry assistance. It demonstrates, in current data, the covering exerted for the plans of suplemental health and its relation with the public assistance of health. On the other hand, it focuses the assistance, plans of health and the market of work of the odontology correlating, also with current data, the challenges and the new chances of the market of suplemental health, focused mainly in the dentistry sector. Still that the dentistry sector is at an extraordinary moment inside of the private system of attention to the health, and that, given of the ANS they point with respect to a growth of this sector of 210% in last the 7 years, the covering of services of the suplemental sector of health is on this side of the real demands not contemplating, therefore, the integral assistance to the health.
