Abstract:

The studyaimstoidentifyelementsthatprecipitate / intensify conjugal violence in times of Covid-19 pandemic. It is a narrative review oftheliterature, andthesearchwascarried out in May 2020. The PubCovid-19 platformwasused, whichisindexed in the United StatesNational Library of Medicine (PUBMED) and in the Banco de Excerpta Medica (EMBASE) data. Toperformthesearch, thefollowingdescriptorswereused in English: “Domestic violente”; \"Covid-19\" and \"IntimatePartnerViolence\". Nine articleswereed for reading in full. Fromtheexplorationoftheed material, threeempiricalcategorieswereelaborated, namely: Economicinstability, Use / abuse ofalcoholandotherdrugsandWeakeningofthewomen\'ssupport network. It isimportantthat in thiscontextof a pandemic, support networks for women in situationsof conjugal violence are expanded, withemphasisonthe use of digital technologies as possible tools for screening cases ofviolence in times ofpandemic.
