Abstract:

Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) are the main causes of death in the world, impacting heavily on the most vulnerable populations. The aim of this study was to analyze changes in the prevalence of these diseases, health conditions, access and use of health services in Brazil, between 2008 and 2019. As an analytical tool, tests of differences and generalized linear models were used, considering complex samplingthe PNAD2008, PNS2013 and PNS2019 surveys, to test changes in the prevalence time and prevalence estimates, adjusted by sociodemographic variables. There was an increase in the prevalence of depression, cancer, diabetes, cancer, neuropsychiatric disorders, chronic lung problems and musculoskeletal problems. Reduction of rheumatoid arthritis, chronic renal failure and diseases of the circulatory system. Among Brazilians with at least one NCD, there was an increase in coverage of the family health strategy over time, however there was a reduction in medical care in a timely manner and receipt of free prescription drugs.
