Home visit in mental health is an approaching technology to a psychically suffering person as well as his/her family. It is intended to analyse knowledges and practices of health professionals related to home visits, taking as analytical reference the constitutive dimensions of Psychiatric Reform: theoretical-conceptual, technical-health, juristic-political and sociocultural. It is a case study with a qualitative approach in a critical-reflexive perspective, performed in a general Psychosocial Attention Center (CAPS) in Fortaleza, Ceará. There were conducted semi-structured interviews with key informers and free observations, submitted to interpretation based on critical hermeneutics. Results evidenced that territory is recognized as a social spaceexperiencing the suffering and production of care. Home visits induce reorganization of work space and development of strategies as taking people out of the health institutions to community. Therefore, it strengthens creation of new forms of sociability, autonomy and contractuality. However, it faces internal and external challenges in the CAPS, mostly those referring to cultural transformation the ways of dealing with the person mentally suffering. Home visits are indispensable in CAPS’ daily routine as a rupture strategy with the asylum apparatus.

Produção do cuidado na atenção psicossocial: Visita domiciliar como tecnologia de intervenção no território.
Abstract(resumo):
A visita domiciliar na atenção à saúde mental constitui tecnologia de abordagem ao sujeito em sofrimento psíquico e à sua família. Pretende-se analisar os saberes e as práticas dos profissionais relacionadas à visita domiciliar, tomando como referencial analítico as dimensões da Reforma Psiquiátrica: teórico-conceitual, tecnoassistencial, jurídico-política e sociocultural. Trata-se de um estudo de caso com abordagem qualitativa, realizado num Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) de Fortaleza, Ceará. Realizaram-se entrevistas semiestruturadas com profissionais, além de observação livre, analisadas com base na hermenêutica crítica. Os resultados apontam o reconhecimento do território como espaço social da experiência-sofrimento e de produção do cuidado. A visita domiciliar induz a reorganização do processo de trabalho e o desenvolvimento de estratégias de desinstitucionalização, que potencializam a construção de autonomia e de poder contratual do usuário. Contudo, enfrenta desafios relacionados ao serviço, como equipe mínima e ausência de veículo. Além destes, o risco de violência no território e dificuldades no agir para a mudança cultural nos modos de lidar com a loucura. A visita domiciliar é imprescindível no CAPS, como estratégia de ruptura com o aparato manicomial.
