Abstract:

The production systems’ restructuring and the economicglobalization are interfering directly with the basic workers’ social rights. In the semi-peripheral countries such as Brazil, where the salaried society and the consolidation of social rights are not completely implemented, this process of change in the work world contributes to aggravate the inequality in the capital-labor relationship and hinders the access to employment. Through a critical review of the scientific literature of changes in world work and its impact on the health services’ organization and production in Brazil, this article pinpointsthe weakness of regulation of the labor market in Brazil, mainly in thehealth sector, and the need to increase the debate on new forms of institutionalization of the labor relationship in order to ensure equity at work and to protect the rights to work and at work.
