Abstract:

This study aims to assess the users‘ perception about the quality of care in Family Health Units in Recife. This is a descriptive cross sectional study with quantitative approach. The survey was conducted in Recife, and interviewed 939 users. Users are predominantly young adults, female, married, with low education and housewives. They are strongly linked with the units, taking it as a reference for your service. The results show the scheduled service demand. Users have greater satisfaction with the professionals work and less satisfaction with the unit’s conditions. The youngers and more educated showed greater dissatisfaction with the conditions offered. There are great dissatisfaction with the attendance delay, with the accessibility and the lack of educational and community activities, which are two dimensions related to the general principles of this strategy. The great satisfaction with clinical care, confidentiality and right to information, dimensions related to user-professional relationship are important in the quality of care. This evaluation focused on each moment of the service attendance and brings an important contribution to a critical apprehension by users.
