Abstract:

The objective of this study was to compare quality of life indicators and clinical parameters of users who participate in a health promotion program, in the context of supplementary health, in the cardiovascular care line. This is an observational and cross-sectional study conducted with 251 subjectsthe regions of the Vale do Taquari Regional Development Council and the Vale do Rio Pardo Regional Development Council / RS. The WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used to evaluate the Quality of Life. Participants were characterized by the predominance of women, elderly, an increase in the number of subjects at high cardiovascular risk (37.8%) and good quality of life. The means of the clinical parameters indicated a body mass index of degree I obesity, normal blood pressure, lipid profile and adequate fasting glycemia. Significant reductions in mean triglycerides (p = 0,031), diastolic blood pressure (p = 0,000), systolic blood pressure (p = 0.013), but in the general domain of quality of life ( p = 0.004) there was a significant increase. It is necessary to consider and intervene in social health determinants and promote intersectoriality, including between the public and the private, for which quality of life assumes an important role as an indicator for the elaboration and definition of health policies.
